Freemasons teach their values to new candidates through allegories anchored to symbols; initiates learn and demonstrated their understanding through tracing the symbols. 

Tracing Board for the Absorption of Abstract Concepts Into the Body reworks this Masonic mode of teaching abstract concepts by leading the viewer through tracing  images at a video table, implanting inchoate yet important ideas in their bodies.  My first Tracing Board was shown as part of Home Bodies/Away Teams, a group show at Utah MoCA curated by Earl Gravy.  For the show, I also danced scores from the Mystery Cult/Fictive Matriarchy project with wonderful dancers from the University of Utah.
